| About
the Reservation Process | | Are
reservations safe and secure on Englandhotelbookings.com? |
| We
employ security measures such as Secure Socket Layer technology (SSL) to protect
the loss, misuse and alteration of your personal information. SSL, which is utilized
by most popular browsers, including Netscape and Microsoft Explorer, provides
the advanced encryption tools necessary to protect information transmitted between
your computer and our server. Encryption simply means that your information is
converted into code before it is dispatched over the Internet. Our secure server
encrypts all personal information, including your name, address, and credit card
information, so that it cannot be read as it is transmitted over the Internet
when you make a reservation. |
| Where
do the rates come from? | | The
rates come directly from the main computers of the hotel chains and computer services
which provide reservations for independent hotels. There is no other system like
this. The system allows you to view every rate available at through the chain
reservation systems. These rates may include corporate, AARP, Tiple A, Senior
Citizen, Government and special discounted rates. |
| | How
are the reservations made? | | All
online reservations are made directly with the main computers of the hotel's chain
or reservation service and not third party systems. |
| | When
do I receive the confirmation number? | |
For online reservations, you will be issued a confirmation number on the page
which appears several seconds after you submit your personal and credit card information
for the reservation. If you are making your reservation through our reservation
center, then the Reservationist handling will inform you of the confirmation
number. |
| | What
is a confirmation number? | | A
confirmation number is a unique number assigned to every reservation. Depending
the hotel the confirmation number assigned will appear differently. Most are from
4 - 16 digits and some are alphanumeric. The number will be needed at check-in
at the hotel or in the event you decide to cancel the reservation. The number
makes it easier for the hotels to identify your reservation. |
|
| How
will my credit card information be used? | | In
almost all cases, your credit card information is used to guarantee the reservation.
This means that if you do not cancel the reservation within the stated time cancellations
can be made or if you do not check-in at the hotel your credit card will likely
be charged for the first night's stay. This is to protect the hotel from what
are called "no shows". When you do not show up for a reservation which has not
been canceled, the hotel holds the room all night in expectation of your arrival.
To avoid any charge to your credit card be sure to cancel any unwanted reservations
within the time period cancellations can be made. |
| Making
an Online Reservations | | How
do I reserve more than one room at the same hotel? |
| For
the safety of the hotels, the online reservation system only allows one reservation
per hotel per credit card per day. To reserve additional rooms, just use different
credit cards or book the rooms on different days. You can also call our Reservations
Center and speak to a Reservationist who can make all the reservations for
you. Again, there is no charge for our services including assistance by phone.
